Portland Tennis League's New "Aces" Division a "Smash" Hit

PORTLAND, Oregon (February 21, 2011) - The Portland Athletic Club, host of The Portland Tennis League (PTL) announces that the Winter Session of its first ever “Aces” League has been well received, attracting over 30 players.  This league, intended for males and females with a 4.0 or 4.5 NTRP skill rating, has become one of the winter’s most popular and competitive tennis groups, drawing players from all over the Portland, Beaverton, and Vancouver areas.

“We are already half-way through the Winter Session of the league, and we are still getting new sign-ups everyday,” said Alyssa Morrison, coordinator of the Portland Tennis League.  “I predict even higher numbers when we start up our Spring Session in early April.”

The PTL is designed to give players of all ages and skill levels an opportunity to play numerous matches in any event.  Using a round-robin format, participants get an opportunity to play a different opponent (and even team with different doubles partners) each week for eight solid weeks.

Registration is now open for the Spring Session of the Portland Tennis League.  For more information, visit the PTL website, www.portlandtennisleague.com, or call Alyssa Morrison at the Portland Athletic Club, 503-292-2649.
